Role Overview:
As a Pharmacy Worker, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the smooth functioning of the pharmacy, providing essential support in dispensing medications and maintaining a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities:
Medication Dispensing:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory and assist in the organization of medication stock.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and offering guidance on over-the-counter medications.
- Ensure a friendly and welcoming environment for all customers visiting the pharmacy.
Routine Maintenance:
- Conduct regular checks on pharmacy equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and standards in handling medications and pharmacy operations.
- Uphold a culture of safety and responsibility within the pharmacy.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory management.
- Generate reports detailing stock levels and completed tasks as required.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient customer service.
- Communicate effectively regarding stock levels, medication availability, and customer needs.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and familiarity with dispensing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products and their uses is advantageous.
